Start with your bathroom
Find the bidet seat that fits your life.
You do not need every feature. Start with your toilet shape, access to water and power, and the way you want to control the wash.
1. Choose electric or non-electric
Non-electric
Powered by household water pressure. Our current Saniwise F-6 and Brondell EcoSeat S101 use cold supply water and do not heat the seat or provide an air dryer.
A useful choice if you want a simple wash or have no nearby outlet.
Shop non-electric seats →Electric
Uses electricity to heat wash water and the seat. Depending on the model, you can also get an air dryer, a remote, presets or a deodorizer.
Requires a suitable grounded GFCI outlet within reach of the original cord.
Shop electric seats →Seat, attachment or handheld sprayer?
A bidet seat replaces your existing seat. An attachment fits underneath a compatible existing seat. A handheld sprayer is held in your hand and requires following its shutoff instructions after use. A heated toilet seat without a wash function is not a bidet. Our current purchasable assortment is bidet seats; we do not list unfinished categories as shopping options.
2. Measure before you choose
- Shape: round bowls are shorter; elongated bowls are longer. Measure from the mounting-hole centers to the front of the bowl and compare the model's fit diagram.
- Mounting holes: measure center to center. Check whether you can access the fastening area from below or need top-mount hardware.
- Rear clearance: measure the space between the holes and tank. Curved, French-curve and some one-piece toilets can interfere with the housing.
- Side clearance: allow room for a sidearm control panel and for the user to reach it.
- Water connection: confirm access to the toilet fill valve and compatibility with the supplied connector. Skirted toilets may need different hardware.
- Power: electric models need a grounded GFCI outlet within cord reach. Do not assume an extension cord or power strip is an acceptable solution; follow the manual and use a qualified electrician when needed.
Round versions are offered for EcoSeat S101, Clean Sense, Galaxy, Eaze Z3 and the listed Brondell electric seats. F-6, ECO NOVA and Ultra NOVA are elongated only. A bidet seat is not automatically compatible with a seat riser or unusual bowl design.
If the model-specific fit guide is missing or unclear, ask before buying. Installation mistakes and incompatible fit are much harder to resolve after a hygiene product has been opened.
3. Understand warm-water trade-offs
| Type | What it means | Current examples |
|---|---|---|
| Cold supply water | No powered heater. Wash temperature follows the incoming water. | EcoSeat S101, Saniwise F-6 |
| Stored or hybrid warm water | A limited reservoir can cool during a long wash. Hybrid systems combine stored water and heating; that label alone does not mean unlimited warm water. | Galaxy GB-5000 has a finite warm-water supply |
| Instant / tankless | Heats water on demand for continuous warm washing, within the model's operating conditions. | Clean Sense DIB-1500/1500R, Swash 1000/1400, Thinline T22/T44, Eaze Z3, ECO NOVA, Ultra NOVA |
A short wash may be comfortable with a stored-water system. Continuous heating matters more if you prefer longer washes or several people use the seat one after another.
4. Pay for the features you will use
Remote versus side controls
A remote can be positioned within reach, but needs batteries and a place to live. A side panel stays attached to the seat and takes more side space. If small buttons are difficult, compare the Eaze Z3's large, color-coded remote. That feature is not a promise that the product suits every mobility need.
Heated seat, dryer and cleansing adjustments
A heated seat helps with comfort. An air dryer takes time and may not eliminate the need to pat dry. Compare adjustable pressure, nozzle position, front and rear washing, and spray modes on the product page; not every model offers the same adjustments. Nozzle self-cleaning does not remove the need for regular manual maintenance.
Deodorizer and nightlight
A deodorizer can help manage odors; filters and maintenance may be required. A nightlight is convenient in a dark bathroom. Neither changes whether the seat fits or washes well.
Automatic lid is different from automatic flush
Ultra NOVA offers automatic lid opening and closing. Gentle-close lids on other seats still need to be lifted. An automatic lid does not flush the toilet. We do not currently offer a verified autoflush option; check each listing rather than assuming it is included.
Presets and slim housings
Swash 1400 offers programmable settings for shared bathrooms. Thinline T22 and T44 have a 3.9-inch rear housing. A lower profile is a comfort and design preference, not a universal fit guarantee.
5. Read warranty and return conditions
Standard warranties vary by model. Brondell's Swash 1000, Swash 1400, T22 and T44 have a 3-year limited tiered residential warranty, with 100% parts and labor coverage in year 1, 75% in year 2 and 50% in year 3. EcoSeat S101 has a 1-year limited warranty. Manufacturer exclusions and shipping responsibilities still apply. Commercial coverage can differ.
Paid warranty extensions are separate options for eligible models. Compare the total term with the included warranty and keep your proof of purchase. Eaze Z3 does not have a paid extension offered here. Review the product page and manufacturer's terms for the model you choose.
6. Start with value, then add comfort
Simple wash
Compare Saniwise F-6 for an elongated toilet with EcoSeat S101 for round or elongated options. Neither needs an outlet.
Affordable electric
Compare DIB-1500 side controls with DIB-1500R remote controls. Galaxy GB-5000 offers a different heating trade-off.
Midrange electric
Compare Swash 1400 with Swash 1000. At current prices, the 1400 is less expensive despite adding presets and a nightlight; verify the selected variant's price.
Premium comfort
Compare T22 sidearm with T44 remote controls, Eaze Z3's larger buttons, or Ultra NOVA's automatic lid. Prioritize the feature that solves your need.
